From the moment I saw Gomi's warm, chubby form, I said, ``I want to carry it at my store!'' It was love at first sight for Taro Gomi's clocks.

In the first place, Taro Gomi cut a cardboard wall clock for his own enjoyment in his atelier and displayed it on his wall.
The appearance was so cute, it looked like it had come straight out of a picture book, so Gomi-san got permission to commercialize it on the spot, and the product was completed. This is a true story that made me laugh out loud.

The creator was most particular about Gomi Taro's seemingly simple yet complex lines.
Currently, the manufacturing process is handled by craftsmen at a workshop in Nagano Prefecture. Everything from cutting to painting is handmade.

Born in Tokyo in 1945. A picture book writer representing Japan. Completed ID course at Kuwasawa Design Institute.
From the world of industrial design and graphic design, he entered creative activities centered on picture books, and has published many unique works.
He has written over 400 books and has been translated into more than 20 countries around the world.
He has won numerous awards, including the Sankei Children's Publishing Culture Award, the Bologna International Picture Book Original Art Exhibition, and the Roadside Stone Literary Award.
