Lacquer and gold makie scissors
Ebara Lacquer Works/Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture
Hasegawa Knife/Seki City, Gifu Prefecture
Cohana's popular product "lacquer and gold makie scissors" is now available in navy blue and dark blue in limited quantities.
You can enjoy the depth of color unique to natural lacquer and the luster that increases the more you use it.
By cleaning with the included cleaner cloth, the luster of the lacquer will be restored.
You can use it comfortably for handicrafts and craft work.
The secret to the pleasant sharpness of the small scissors lies in the final process in which each blade is finished by hand by a craftsman. In the polishing process, the blade is strengthened using a ``koba-hiki'' process to make it less likely to chip, and the cutting edge is polished using a ``saki-suri'' process.
By sharpening the cutting edge, the engagement of the blade is adjusted.
Please note that the cutting edge is flat.

As lacquer is a natural material, there will be individual differences in color depending on the time of application and environment.
Also, lacquer has the property of changing its color over time, and the color may gradually become glossy and change from the color at the time of delivery, as it is used or in the daily environment.
This is due to the inherent properties of lacquer, so please rest assured that there is no problem with the quality.
In addition, this indigo color (navy blue) uses the same lacquer composition as the small scissors that were included in the lucky bag in the summer of 2024. Because the environment has changed since then, the color is not exactly the same, but the color is close, so users can use it as a reference for color changes.

Caution
・The cutting edge is sharp, so please handle with care.
- Forcibly cutting hard objects may damage the blade or cause the blade to become misaligned, resulting in poor sharpness.
- Dropping or subjecting it to strong impact may cause damage.
・To prevent rust, if the scissors get wet, please wipe them dry.
・To prevent the scissors from rusting and the lacquer from discoloring, avoid storing them in direct sunlight or in hot and humid places.
・Lacquer and gold lacquer are very delicate. Do not use hard cloths or abrasives to clean it, as it may cause scratches.
・After use, wipe it with the included cleaner cloth and store it in the case.
・Since the case is made of genuine leather, it will expand and contract somewhat. Also, if it gets wet with water or sweat, it may cause discoloration or stains.
