Japanese horse chestnut thread spools by Golondrina, a small woodworking studio and manufacturing development office located in Suwa District, Nagano Prefecture, that looks like something out of a picture book.
Japanese horse chestnut wood, which is often used for lacquerware, is soft and easy to carve, creating beautiful curves. Each flower-shaped spool of thread is carefully carved by hand and is filled with the thoughts of Golondrina, whose concept is ``exciting things and things'' with a unique worldview.
We use high-quality button thread developed by Fujix, a thread manufacturer founded in 1921 in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, with a particular focus on thread performance. A versatile thread that can be used for a variety of needlework other than button attaching. Fujix's yarns, which produce yarns for a wide range of uses, are trusted around the world.
