cohana Kohana Seki Bean Scissors
|
These cute and sharp bean scissors were born out of the playfulness of a long-established scissor maker who wanted to see how small and sharp scissors could be made.
■ Seki Bean Scissors - Hasegawa Knives × Imazato (Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture)
These small bean scissors were made by Hasegawa Hamono, a cutlery manufacturer founded in 1933 in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, one of Japan's leading cutlery towns. Hold it with your fingers and cut with light force.
The small tassels of silk thread are carefully made by hand by Mr. Imazato, a tassel and knot specialist who was founded in Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1903. We have been making tassels of Yame chochin, which is a traditional craft, for over 100 years, and the beautiful tassels show off the delicate skills of our craftsmen.
The bean-sized scissor case is made from high-quality genuine leather to fit the scissors.
It fits compactly in a pencil case, pouch, or drawstring purse, making it convenient to carry.
