Lacquered Seki cutting scissors
Ebara Lacquer Works (Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture)
Hasegawa Knives (Seki City, Gifu Prefecture)

A gorgeous pair of scissors made in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, a cutlery town, with the handles coated with lacquer and gold leaf by a lacquer craftsman who makes Buddhist utensils in Aichi Prefecture.
The blade is made of Japanese-made stainless steel and features smooth and stable cutting. One of its appeals is that it is light and easy to handle, so you won't get tired even when using it for long periods of time. It is rust-resistant and has excellent durability.
The long blade of approximately 10.5cm allows you to smoothly cut through the fabric in one motion. Because the number of cuts is reduced, you can cut the fabric at a faster pace and feel more comfortable.
The lacquered handle develops a rich and beautiful luster over time, and the more you use it, the unique smooth texture will feel more comfortable in your hand.

``Tame-nuri'' is a unique color created by applying transparent lacquer over vermilion lacquer. It is characterized by a transparent luster and depth that gives you a sense of depth.
The other is vermilion, which is considered an auspicious color. The eye-catching bright colors have a dignified calmness even though they are gorgeous.
You can clean the scissors with the included cleaner cloth.
Comes with a leather cover with cute tassels
We also recommend pairing it with the ``lacquer and gold makie scissors,'' which also have an elegant sparkle of lacquer and gold.
