Kurashiki Design --kata kata
A set of 6 pieces of various animal bean dishes
"Inbante" plate made with Katata
Plates of "seal stamps" designed by Mr. and Mrs. Takeshi Matsunaga and Mr. and Mrs. Tomoe Takai, a pattern dyeing unit "kata kata".
"Stamping hand" is a painting by printing such as "pattern printing (stencil technique)" and "copper plate transfer", which enables mass production by handicraft without having a professional painting craftsman. It is a technology that has developed rapidly since the times.
As a result, painted porcelain containers have been distributed all over Japan, and the eating habits of the common people have undergone a major transformation.
Even when it comes to painting by printing, this method at that time was prone to many drawbacks such as blurring, bleeding, color loss, and color unevenness in the pattern, and in recent years it has become a technique that can only be performed in a limited number of cases. I have.
However, some people who like containers can say that their shortcomings are their taste, and they find it attractive. Of course, the Kurashiki design is similar to those people, but even if it is not possible to unify the finish to a uniform finish. After all, I wanted to make a container with this technique.
The irregular and rustic taste was the same as it was at that time, but the design was more modern, and the ideal was a plate with a stamp that could not be decided as a pattern of any country.
Paper pattern shaving, which is one of the stamping methods, is a kind of pattern dyeing, so I thought that Katakata could make a nice plate.
The result is a stamp plate with a copper plate transfer method. As you can imagine, many fun and story-filled dishes were born. I think it will play an active role every day as a container that draws out conversations every time you surround the table. (Kurashiki Design Planning Office)

・ There are large individual differences in the design. Please note that it is not exactly the same as the one in the photo.
There is also a single bean dish with the same pattern.
