■ LINE development background
Our company is a scissor maker founded in 1933.
From around 2001, we have begun to consider incorporating UD (universal design) into the products in order to find the desire to use scissors as many customers as possible to use scissors.
It was around 2003 that the first one in combination with Professor Nakagawa, a Japanese UD, was completed. After that, we promoted commercialization discussions with the theme of "cutting" without being bound by scissors.
In the meeting, an employee who was playing with the mouse of a personal computer agreed with all the members who participated in the word, "If the paper is cut, it may be interesting ..." After that, the designer repeated trial and error and finished it as a mechanism that could easily cut with one hand. The design is of course Mr. Nakagawa.
The color was changed according to the color unification of the HARAC series, and the name was changed from "paper kirimushi" to "LINE" at the same time.
