Indigo overlapping threading set
Nagao Orifu/Tokushima Prefecture
Bansho/Okayama Prefecture
This threading set uses three types of traditional fabrics: ``Awa Shijira Ori,'' ``Bingo Bushi Ori,'' and ``Matsuzaka Momen.''
Each one has a different pattern and color depth, so you can use it depending on the work or mood of the day. It has a fan-like shape that is easy to hold.
This is a set of 3 pieces, 1 each of 3 types of patterns.
■Awa Shijira Ori (Tokushima Prefecture)
Awa Shijira Ori is a cotton fabric that has a unique shrinkage with irregularities called ``shibo'', which is soft to the touch and gives a refreshing feeling.
■Bingo Bushi Ori (Hiroshima Prefecture)
A new fabric brand derived from the traditional textile Bingo Kasuri. The woven yarn also contains a bulging nep, giving it a warm, rustic feel that feels hand-woven even though it is machine-woven.
■ Matsusaka Momen (Mie Prefecture)
It is said that Matsusaka Momen was born in Matsusaka, which was one of the leading spinning centers in Japan and was also popular for indigo dyeing, and was obliged to donate cotton fabrics to the Ise Grand Shrine. It is still made using thread dyed with natural indigo, just like in the past.
The color and pattern may vary depending on where the fabric is cut.

Awa Shijira Ori|Nagao Orifu
Production area: Tokushima Prefecture
Since its founding in 1899, Awa Shijira Ori We preserve the techniques of traditional textiles ``Awa Shijira Ori'' and ``Awa Aizome,'' which live on in the land of waves, and pursue designs that harmonize with modern lifestyles and sensibilities through consistent manufacturing from dyeing to finishing. Domestic Japanese Cloth | Bansho
Okayama Prefecture
We handle domestically produced Japanese cloth, mainly from western Japan, and products made from these fabrics. The previous generation was particular about peddling and worked hard to deliver beautiful ancient Japanese fabrics with their own hands. Following in their footsteps, they are working on selling and branding their fabrics in order to protect the wonderful fabrics from all over Japan that are declining with the times.
