Born in Tokyo, ANZ is an illustrator and graphic designer.

She has worked in various fields of graphic design including corporate design, logos and goods design. From 2006-2019, she worked at Atelier Rodeco creating these quirky characters at the production house which makes handmade stuffed toys and accessories. The number of characters grew and the stories about their life on Riceball Island. 

In 2020, she staged a solo exhibition at Vinyl gallery, in Tokyo, with her artworks and original 'vinyls' (stuffed soft toys). The world of fugitive residents living in the mysterious island Riceball Island featured in the works, plus other works.
